Got a call from this number as well.
Any of you that see this, you can/should try this:
Answer but immediately put them on mute. If you get nothing from the other end after about 5 to 8 seconds, unmute and say "Identify Yourself" and IMMEDIATELY go back to mute. (You don't owe them another word unless they do what YOU asked them to do)
You can repeat this multiple times.
Telemarketers and scammers typically hang up within 35 seconds if they don't like what they are hearing.
This is YOUR way wasting THEIR time......keep THEM on the phone as long as possible. Remember: THEY are they ones intruding on you. They deserve whatever arms-length behavior you throw at them. But do NOT be abusive.....be professional when you ask them to identify themselves! They don't know how to deal with that!! :-)
And oh yes......the DONOTCALL list is a joke and the legislation for it has absolutely no enforcement teeth.
