I got a call from a special agent Raymond Castille saying I needed to pay a fine for some pharmaceuticals I had purchased on line a few years prior and it scared me to death! This is nothing but a scam and I hope these people are caught and put into prison for this...thank you!
I am so happy to have found this BLOG on DEA Scams. When I got my first call from the half-wit who called himself Ryan Collier I was really upset and almost called a criminal defense attorney. After settling down I called a a close friend who is a deputy sheriff who advised me that it. He said the DEA will never call you before they show up. Demanding money over the phone via Western Union also gives it away. The DEA will not take money over the phone to handle a fine. They will send you to jail after "inspecting" your home and finding drugs in quantities that will appear to make you dealer.
Be wise about money over the phone for fines. It doesn't happen that way.
I just got a call from a 212-9945 without any message. Beware people, this is a fraudulent phone number. The callers removed their area code so that it would be harder to trace this phone number. If I get any more calls from this phone number, I will alert the FBI, the FTC, and file a complaint on IC3.
