I received a call from this number and I did not answer. They left a partial voice mail stating they were the IRS hotline and that there was a lein on my property and to call them to discuss my "bill". They said to include my employer ID number. I do not owe the IRS any money and I am not an employer. I have been retired for three years and never owned a business. I then looked up the number on this website and thanks to all of you who posted your remarks regarding this number.
Call from the "IRS" left on voice mail saying that there is a "Tax Fraud issue with the IRS and to call back to resolve". Called back and was answered "IRS Department". I said "You are not the IRS" and they hung up immediately
The IRS does not call you they are glad to use the USPS to send notices. I called back and gave them a few words to ponder on, then they hung up. Go figure...
Wow! This is terrible! Had me going for a minute. IRS and red flag...yeah right. Im making a police report. Even if they don't get caught, shame on them. Thank God for Google and all of the people who post these comments. Now, I know.
