Received a call from Pam Wightfield from Global Service Group Collection Agency. She stated I took a payday loan out in January 2012 and I owed them over $500.00. She knew my last four digits of my ssn, current bank acct number and my daughter and son in law's phone number. She told me that they are going to take the funds out of my current bank acct. I never took a payday loan out and the bank acct number they said will be garnished was not opened in 2012. I called the Global Service Group Collection Agency, and informed them of what happened. I was informed that they did not call me and she will be reporting this to the president of the company. Please be aware this is a scam and DO NOT give them any information, just hang up and block the number on your phone. Also, protect your bank acct by calling your bank and telling them what happened they will assist you in ensuring no one accesses you acct. You can also call one of the credit bureaus like Trans Union and place a fraud Alert on your credit.
