They call me at least 3 times per day and I don't answer because I don't know the number and they never leave a messge which makes me feel like it's a scam....how do we stop these people. Someone please help!
THIS PERSON KEEPS CALLING MY HOUSE BECAUSE MY SPOSE PAID SOME OF HER BROTHERS CREDIT CARDS WITH HER CHECKING ACCOUNT NOW HE IS FELL BEHIND AND SOME HOW THEY GOT OUR PHONE NO. HOW CAN I GET THEM TO STOP I TOLD THEM NOT TO CALL
I don't think they are collections at all. I have been told that there are many many scammers out there who get our information and then pose as collectors to get us to pay them what we never owed in the first place, banking on the fact that we forget debt or get so scared we pay anyway. Also sometimes when you answer these calls it trips computers to make further calls or do something else with the information. Don't ever answer a call from an unknown number; if it is someone who is legit they will leave a message that makes sense....be careful!
