Received a call from this #. I answered the call w/ a "hello," caller did not answer back and after 2-3 seconds he/she/it hung up. Called back private, I was automatically sent to voicemail telling me that there was no one available to answer my call, that if it was related to a call I had received earlier, to leave a voice message so that someone can call me back again. The voice mail did not disclose company's name or info. I did not leave message. This number has been calling me about 3-4 times per day. Given the frequency of their calls, the fact that they did not respond to my initial greeting, and when calling them being sent to an automated voice mail that offers no description of the caller, I would say this is probably a SCAM & further answering/calling is not recommended.
Received my fourth call of the day from that number at 4 pm on the 4th of July. No chance they are legitimate. They call several times a day but I don't answer and they disconnect after 4 rings so there's no message. As much as I would like to scream at them, I don't want my number in their records as having responded. I wish someone could at least identify them; I don't bother to hope they will be shut down or penalized.
I also have been getting these calls, also. I programmed my phone to pick up after 3 rings, so Caller ID has a chance to work. This way, if it is someone I know, I can answer, otherwise the answering machine answers.
