Just phoned, thick accent, trying to tell me he was going to help me with my computer problem. Caught me in a bad mood, so I told him something pithy, hung up, and blocked his number.
Got a call from a lady who stated she was from Microsoft and I needed to go to my computer so she could fix a virus. I began to question her and she became very angry. I asked what state are you in? She said Indiana. I asked why would Microsoft care if I had a virus. She had no answer. I asked why did my caller id have a number from Delaware. I also asked wouldn't my internet provider know these things long before Microsoft. I guess she had enough questions and she hung up.
Same story here..called twice today. Was an Indian, a Microsoft tech,I believe, from PC Solutions. I telling him I did not know him, so he gave his name and PC Solutions again, and then said he was in XXX, Indiana. I asked him to repeat and I thought he said "Wilmington", Indiana. Since my family lives in Delaware & has the 302 area code, I knew this guy was scamming and so hung up.
I got a call from a guy with aforeign accent stating he worked for Microsoft and needed to access my computer for a virus. I asked for his employee number and I would call a friend who works for Microsoft in Santa Clara and he would verify his ID # while I waited. He hung up real fast...
I also got a call from guy with a foreign accent stating he worked for Microsoft and that I had some virus on my pc. I asked him how he knew what was on my computer, and he just repeated that he worked for Microsoft and that I needed to get on my computer so that they could fix the virus. He was very hard to understand and I didn't believe him and I hung up.
says from Microsoft if or not so you need to leave people alone . in first if I have a problem I have someone reliable and will not mess computer up as you are trying to do. if this is all you have to occupy your time you must have mental problems or to lazy to work .either way you need to stop bothering people.
