Just got a call from a person of the exact same description. When I asked for an address and phone number of his business all he would say is 3... 0... Then he hung up. I called the number back and it was a ladies answering machine saying that someone was using her phone number. .... BEWARE. I called my states attorney general and my county district attorney for consumer fraud.
Tonight I received a call from an Unknown # with this exact description. Indian accent. Said they were from Instant Virtual Support working for Microsoft. Was trying to access my computer so that they could show me the contaminated files where someone had been trying to hack into my computer. Seemed fishy so I asked for their number. LONG hesitation and then she gave me a 1-888# and said to call back and ask for Mr. Brian Williams. Weird name for a female Indian person. Also no customer code or anything for them to reference who I was.
Mom just bought into this crap, he said someone from Microsoft had called an said there was a virus on her computer, when she said she was going to work, and had to go, he got very urgent and said "no you have to do this right now, it's about to crash!" At least she didn't pay $300 for the "cure" for the virus
I got all the same lines and how my PC is going to crash. He gave a 1-888-858-3257 ask for Jazz. He tuned up the sales pitch to very forceful when I said No. Really went off when I told him it sounded like he was conning me.
