There was a VM left on my home # saying to call the IRS.I knew it was total nonsense because the IRS does not call but they use US Mail to contact anyone if there is an issue.I called back and got some fool apparently from India.
Caller left message urge me to call back immediately due to IRS issue. When I called the 302-273-5584 back, a male with heavy Indian accent identified he is an office from IRS Crime and Investigation Unit. When I asked him for my legal name from the IRS file, he addressed me as my nick name, which is James Lin, I asked him repeatedly for my legal name and my social security number under the IRS file before I can further discuss my IRS issue he told me not to waste his time and hung up.
