It is some kind of university marketing system. They keep calling my cell looking for my wife. One lady who called said my wife was looking for a university, I told her no, she found one so please do not call anymore and she said OK. Of course, I just got another call and I told him that my wife was enrolled and stop calling and I hung up. We shall see.
Called my cell # several times and asked for my wife by her first name. I told them they had the wrong # and they hung up. When they called another time I asked them to stop calling and they hung up.
I called back and it says they are not available and the line goes dead. I can't leave a message
At first, it was a bunch of phone call and silent voicemails, but just now, I got a call from this number (302-283-3731) and they ACTUALLY ADDRESSED ME BY MY NAME?!? I am scared! WTF is this?!?
2 calls on my cell phone from this number; glad i waited until after 9 to check since it costs me minutes or money before that. The second call left a voice mail, but it was a click. The strange thing is that today, at work, i received a call about a "financial consolidation" that i never requested even though they were "returning" my call -- NOT. Not sure if this is the same scam, but sure sounds like it.
One thought: i finally broke down and gave my cell # to facebook to cut down on the validation code box i have trouble reading. These calls started only a few days later. Wondering if anyone else has done the same?
