I *67 & asked them why they keep calling me and then hangup. He acknowledged the it system may have problems and said they help people who owe $10k or more on Student Loans, Credit Cards, etc. I just hung up on him since I am on the Federal DNC list.
said they are called ACS debt consolidation and wanted to help me with student loans - i do not have any - and when I told him my only outstanding debt is my mortgage which has been obamafied he mumbled some stuff, something like I can see that you do, and hung up. He sounded slightly Asian and English was definitely not his first language. Also I think he was cold calling with no real details about me.
They are NOT DEBT COLLECTORS. These are telemarketers and liars trying to sell their loan product. They want personal information from you. They say they can lower your student loan payments or they state you are at risk for default and have to comply. Basically its [***] to make money.
