302-319-5308 has been calling me on my personal cell phone number for several days and not leaving a voicemail when I don't answer. So, when they called again today I picked up to see what the call was. The person on the line identified himself as John with Credit Debt Management (The caller ID said Creditinvest, though). He asked if I was "Yvonne" and I did not answer. When I asked him why they kept calling me he responded with "You called me". Which I did not. I asked why they were calling this number and he said they were trying to help me lower my interest rates to where I was qualified for. I asked him to stop calling and he became irate and kept repeating that he was trying to help. I asked again that he stop calling and he said again that I called him, which I did not. He was very angry and when I told him to stop calling my number said he would not help me and would put my number a a do not call list. When I said "yes, do that please," he hung up. This did not feel like a normal telemarketer call, they are usually pushy, but sound happy. This guy was angry that I did not want him ( or his company to call me anymore) I am not sure, but it sounds like a scam, since I don't need services to renegotiate interest rates, nor have I sought out services of that type ever (mostly because I don't have any credit cards, but anyway). I believe this to be a phishing scam trying to get bank account, social security numbers or credit card info ( or all of the above).
