Also got a call from this number claiming to be from the IRS to file a lawsuit against me/us. It's a known scam, as the IRS would never contact people for something like this (they use snailmail for official notifications). It's a scam
I just got a call from this number leaving a message that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you and when you call the number back it is not a working number. it is a scam!
Automated message, the irs is filing lawsuit against me. I must call this must back to get all information. I never did call back. From the looks and sounds of it, It must be a scam. The number has not been on any website and this is my second one to post.
I know that the irs will always send you an official letter. My mom and I both got one a couple of years ago. We had to resend our taxes cause they didn't get them the first time. Never got a phone call from them.
Heard about these calls before and never got one until now. It scared me at first but then I have a habit to look all number up.
