I got this same phone call, Walmart card and all, from 215-389-9759 and looked it up here and found a whole list of messages just like these. I added it to my phone and blocked the number. Then today I got the call from THIS number,, added it to the listing and blocked it too. So even if you block it from your phone, they just call from another number. I swear I put my phone on the no-call list, but apparently that's not working either. Honestly. I'm to the place where I'm just not answering the phone if I don't know the number.
They have called me several times too and today the guy I spoke to was very inappropriate. Told me I had a sweet voice and he really liked it, also asked if he could get to know me. What I did for a living and if I got on facebook...when I told him he was making me feel uncomfortable and to not ever call me again he just hung up. What company is this and how can I get them to stop calling?
they have called me about 15 times over the past 3 days. Tonight they called and my husband told them to remove our number. He said why and my husband told him that it didnt matter why just to do it. They hung up and called back3 more times finally calling a 4th time with in 10 minutes. I filled our phone numbers with the FCC and now have to wait 31 days to have our numbers totally blocked.
4 calls today from this number- an Indian call center saying I won either a $100 or $200 or $150 gift card for Walmart or JCPenny or whatever. They say it's a customer appreciation gift for using my Visa card. I give a false name and address and they don't say anything about that. They say I "only" need to give them my credit card number 'starting with the number 4' so they can charge either $4.95 or $2.95 shipping & handling to mail me the gift card.
I give them the first digits of my Visa, but I change the last 7 or 8 digits and the expiration date. They immediately type it in and say that there must be a mistake, can I repeat it, etc. I ask who they work for. 'Amber' said it was USA Benefits in L.A., 'James Davis' said it was Care Xpress in Phoenix.

and try to put a stop to these scammers. And have a little fun on the call, see how long you can keep them on the phone & how many credit card numbers they'll try. Ask them what city they're in, ask them what company they work for, ask them for the company phone number, ask them why their company is so nice that they give away free money, and then ask them if they can believe all the rain (in whatever city they said they were in) today. Enjoy.
