The same thing happened to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They HAD my computer ID #, though!! is this possible???? I also was VERY suspicious and ended up hanging up on them. Can they still access stuff in my computer?? I am really nervous!!!
Person with Indian accent called from this number claiming to be from Microsoft. He had my name, address, phone# (obvious) and e-mail address. Said my email account had been hacked and was sending spam messages, and they needed remote access to my computer in order to resolve the issue. They wanted me to download from Teamviewer.com to do this. Fortunately, I was suspicious. A little googling showed it was a phishing scam. When I confronted the caller with this, he hung up.
