Yep!!! ANOTHER 1 from BOA on 4/17/08 at 11:02AM...Same prerecorded bunk. Why can't they get it out of their system already? They would'nt help us so quietly GO AWAY!!!
I have been recieveing a call from 302-458-6323 several times. I have not been able to answer but a recording has been left askeing me to call 888-680-6264 regarding my recent inquiry. I applied for a personal loan a few weeks ago but did not take it. I called the number and the first thing they say is, Thank you for holding my name is Chris can I have your name and social security number. I asked Chris why he needed this number and he was adiment, almost argumentative about me giving my social security number. I did not give anything and called my personal banker at BOA who said it is BOA policy that they will never ask for a social security number over the phone.
SCAM! I filled a report with my local PD. I suggest you do the same to protect others.
Calls daily asking me to call 1-888-806-0079 about my recent Bank of America request
I made no request and have nothing to do with B of A
Looks like a scam to me.
I also received a call from this number, several times, asking me to call 1-888-600-6264; regarding my recent Bank of America request. Granted, I may or may not have had a recent transaction with B of A... but to not be able to find these #'s online anywhere... it's definitely fishy.
I got a call like this one. I called them back because I did submit an application for a personal loan. Upon calling, I was asked for my name and SSN, which there is not way in hell i'll give that over the phone. I did give him my name and zip code, and he was able to tell me specific things, that would only be on the application. I think it's legit, but proceed with caution.
I'm concerned as I spoke to a lady yesterday based on the same information as you, but my gut is telling me I may have been scammed. Is there any way to verify?
I called the 888-806-0070 number again today and he wanted my ss again, and I said no. I asked him for his physical address and he wouldn't give it to me, just that he was in Willmington Delaware.
