i received a call from3024837032 calling themselves Process Mediations, saying i owed 3700.00 to chase manhattan bank.I have documents stating that ,that account was paid off.They wanted 500.00 from my credit card and the rest in 2 weeks or else i would get a summons to appear in court.Ipaid the 500.00 out of fear.When i called the number it had been disconnected.He said his name was John Stewart. I called my credit card company to get a new card and number.They said they would call back on the 25th of this month for the rest off my credit card.
It's a scam, trying to convince you that you are about to be sued unless you take action within 48 hours. Don't answer. Supposedly from a company named "Arbitrary Mediation" (LOL!). I got 3 calls since yesterday, never answered but he leaves a voicemail. Each time my "case number" is different. This scam has been around for a while now, I first got calls from somewhere in KS, then CT, now DE.
I just received a call with the same message. This automated message came from a different area code one month ago and then from a local area code. I don't have any outstanding debt but student loans and those are in deferrment. This is such BS and I'm sicking of getting these calls. I even had the person call me back leaving me a voicemal breathing heavy on my phone telling me in this spooky voice" you know you owe me money and you need to pay me. How ridiculous!
Just received a call from these people--said they were litigators, not debt collectors and that I had an outstanding balance with Bank First??? Over 10 years ago I had some credit issues when I unexpectedly became a widow. Took care of those creditors that would work with me and suffered the consequences of those who wouldn't. I became disabled shortly afterwards this happened. Today, however, my credit is clean and scores are high. This person told me they could still take me to court and get a judgement against me. I told her to go for it cause she can't touch my disability. She eventually hung up on me!! Lol. Would like to know where they are getting their info from. She had the last 4 of my social.
