caller said they were conducting a water survey and wanted to set up an appointment to test the water at our kitchen sink

It comes up on my caller ID as 'Atlantic Water'.  I assume they are trying to sell me a water system for my home.  I never answer and they never leave a message.  Quit calling me, I'm on the DNC list, idiots. Or you can be reported here on the internet for the whole world to see.  Your choice.
