SUCCESS!!! I answered on the first ring tonight and the girl got out as much as the company she was calling from.....Atlantic Water! I interupted her to ask her why she was calling and the call was disconnected.
I googled the company and found out that they're local....based in New Castle Delaware.....I called their offices back and asked if they telemarketed---they admitted "YES" and confirmed the numbers (544-7131, 7133 and 7138 are the ones that call here daily). I DEMANDED that they take our phone# out of their system. We're on the National Do Not Call list, and I SWEAR, if they call here again.....I WILL file a complaint with the FCC

This is a scam company that tries to sell a water treatment system w/ the lure of a $25 gift certificate to a chain restaurant. They come to your home and do not go home unti you purchase. They use various sneaky tactics and call back and forth to their "supervisor" and keep lowering the price unti you break. We were so desperate to kick them out (around midnight!), we forgot all about the "free gift". Beware! We experienced this company about 10 years ago and they have called 2 or 3 times since. They always say that they are calling "new homeowners in the area". Called September 18, 7:30 pm

Atlantic Water confirmed. The caller's lead-in was a lie that she'd talked to my wife yesterday and was calling back to reschedule as requested. "Both you and your spouse must be there" BS. When the supervisor got on the line and I told him I couldn't guarantee my wife would be there he gave me a lot of attitude, calling me "buddy" and telling me to call back when I could guarantee it (insinuating that I was wasting his time), so I told him to f- himself and I suggest you do the same before they waste 20+ minutes of your day.
