Got a call from this number at about 10:00AM this morning. The fellow in a heavy Indian accent told me that my computer was showing errors and he wanted to help me get rid of them. When I asked for the name of his company, I believe he said "GeekID" or something to that effect. I told him I was hanging up to check him and his phone number and company out.
Receive a call today (listed as private). A man with a heavy Indian accent said he was from Microsoft. I would need to go to my computer, as I have some viruses that are causing problems that he could correct. He said my computer was registered with them. He knew my last name and phone #. When I asked him what my computer # was , He reeled off a long 32 digit #. When I asked which computer he was referring to, his reply was you have only one internet access. He wanted me to go to my computer and push the Windows + R keys. When I asked for his number this was the # he gave me . Said he was in New Castle, USA. I can't believe this scam is still going around!! He was very persistent!!
I got that call too. He made me push the windows + R key and enter:

good thing I've put him on hold to see what www.logmein123.com was!!!!!
