I received a call from this number and the individual said they are from Microsoft. They told me they are calling because I forgot to shutdown my computer last night. I do not have a home computer at this time, so I knew it was a scam. They even gave me a serial number to make me think they were legit. I wanted to entertain the call long enough to get some information to pass onto other consumers. They told me that my computer (that I do not have) has been hacked into from hackers in Canada. They said someone tried to get a loan in my name and that I have 6 IP addresses in my name. They asked me to turn my computer on, which I said I did, then type the windows key and the letter r so the run window would come up. They then said type in a web address, that is when I said I needed to call them back. They gave me a number of 646-776-5874. I did not call them back. I know they were going to say they needed money from me to fix a problem or more of my private information would be at risk and blah blah blah. Microsoft does not monitor if you do not shutdown your computer or if someone is hacking your account.
