They called me too. 302-956-9114 - said I had a gov grant of 9200.00 and had to purchase green dot money voucher for 4.95 at a CVS or Dollar Tree or 7/11 - The voucher is good for 500.00 -so I guess you would have to purchase 18 or 19 to amount 9200.00 -- told them scam and hung up.
I keep on getting calls from a blocked number saying that they are from the US department of grants and they say the government randomly selected me to receive a grant for 9000 something dollars. I played along so that they might give me info but they only tell me to find out more I have to call 302-956-9114 with a code which is GG1065. They all speak Indian.
I received the same call....said they represented the government for a tax reimbursement being returned to me in the form of a grant. These were Indian speaking folks as well.

It was a grant, not a loan that would have to be repaid. I was given a confirmation number and the phone number of (302) 956-9114 to claim my grant. I have gotten other scam calls from someone with an Indian or Pakistani accent. It sounded too fishy to me.

The people who are calling definitely have Chinese or South East Asian accent I am a voice expert so can clearly identify the voice.
