World Financial Network National Bank, for Lane Bryant, Chadwicks, Roamans, Silhouettes, and a host of other credit cards. I am behind, so I'm not surprised that they're calling, and yes, they do use several different numbers to throw you off, so I always Google the number.
Wanted immediate payment arrangements from checking. I told her I was at work & didn't have checkbook with me. She noted I was not willing to make arrangements. I told her that's not true. She said this is your home number & you should. I told her my home is also my cell & I answered at work because I thought it was an important call I was waiting for. She still marked account as unable to work with her.
I called this no. back and got a voice menu saying it was a World Financial Network National Bank. I have no overdue debts of any kind and have no account with them and have never heard of them. Plus, I have excellent credit. This no. keeps on calling and hanging up. Definitely a SCAM: BEWARE!
I received this call today from a number I didn't recognize on my cell phone. When I picked up there was an automated message from a woman with a british? accent telling me that "This is not a sales call," and that it was important that I stay on the line and wait for someone who would be with me shortly. Well, I don't like holding when I'm the one calling. I'm certianly not going to hold on the line when someone is calling ME. If they want to talk to me, then they'd better be on the line. Anyway, this is not how reputable companies do business, so it was my first clue to hang up the phone.
