Just got a call from this number at WORK. Same basic thing. Heavy foreign accent. But introduced himself with a generic American name. Pretty sure that is a faked phone number. Said he was with the "attorneys' office (but would not specify a firm name) and asked if I was aware of the legal case against me and gave an "official" case number. I said no I didn't know anything about it. He wouldn't provide me with any information so I said send me something in writing and hung up. He got pretty aggressive calling back a couple times and demanding to talk to "a principle" I imagine he means supervisor/boss. Pressed him for more info - when he wouldn't give me any I hung up. Then he called back but just let it ring. No voice message was left. Think I am going to make an official report because being harassed at work it too much. This is a new job since April and I am afraid of putting it in jeopardy.

Got a call from this # as well - Indian accent. Said he was from USA Loan and wanted to know if I still wanted a Loan I applied for. He was definitiely phishing to get my SSN. I had a heated exchange after calling him back at the same #. Beware of this scammer. He called back 2 hours later and left no message. I am also planning to report this.
I received a call from this # saying he was from USA Loan and asking if I still wanted a Loan I applied for. I knew this was a scam right away as I have not recently applied for any loans. He asked to verify the Loan by giving my SSN. He was definitely phishing. Most likely an identity theif. He had an Indian accent. When I asked where he was from, he just said Ohio.
The Area Code and # match a Lisbon, Ohio Exchange. There is no USA Loan listing in Lisbon, Ohio. Thanks for your efforts in stopping these low-lifes.
