On May 1 2012, I called Telefund at their Denver # (Telefund 1321 15th St, Suite #100, Denver, CO 80202
(303) 894-0456) and spoke to "Alyssa" and gave her the 303-293-2726 number (which, incidentally, is just one number off from one of Telefund's main corporate numbers, 303-293-2727 --x302 off that number is their Payroll Department, for example).
I explained that apparently their robo-caller is malfunctioning, and just giving dead air when people pick up, and that receivers of the calls were not being given a chance to say "No thank you" or "Please do not call". She then Googled the number and said she'd do some investigation of her own, but she also mentioned that non-profits are exempt from the "Do Not Call" list restrictions. I said, "Even so, the point is you have a robo-caller program that is not working, so you need to notify your management and figure out what's broken, OK? I know you have a business to run, but the point is, your technology is not working correctly." I was cordial, but insistent. She said she'd follow-up, but I have to imagine they've been getting calls about this for months, and clearly have done nothing to address this. And so it goes...
Contact the Democratic Party and let them know you;re fed up with Tele-Funds, too. I also get 2-3 calls in a row, but then no human voice responds when I answer. I am fed up big time. I have asked three times to be taken off their list. I have also gone to "don'tcall.org" and registered. But try this instead:
1. Send an email to the Democratic Party and complain! Tell them you won;t contribute again as long as they use Tele-Funds.
2. Report Tele-Funds to the Better Business Bureau.
3. Call Tele-Funds Regional Manager Holly Jenelle at 303-293-2726, ext 3303 and tell her you want to be taken off the list. And,
4. Pass the word to others about stopping this group's nuisance calls.
Thanks for that information. I receive 2 calls, back to back, every day from 303-293-2727. I called Holly and left a voicemail on the 3303 extension, and also filed a complaint with the FCC and the National Do Not Call Registry.
