This can't possibly be a real charity. I told the gentleman I would contribute once I received something in the mail. He kept pushing me to know how much. I told him I couldn't commit to a number at this time. I then told him that I have a sick child at home today and didn't have time to speak to him right now, and that again, I'd contribute once I received something in the mail. He kept pushing and pushing until I had to just hang up on him. I'm praying this isn't a valid charity with such rude people manning the phone!!
solicitor for a veterans charity, sounds just like the fallen police officers scam. They called and left no message. I called back and told them not to call again. He had a sales pitch in which it was hard to get a word in to tell him NO. But he got the message after a couple minutes.
