The reason he is telling you that you received this loan is because he stole your information from a payday loan website and that's all he needs to attempt to extort money from you. From what I can see from reading other posts on this site, if you tell him you'll have your lawyer call him, he may stop. Then, if you can, have someone you know call and say they're a lawyer and start reciting the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), below is a breakdown of what is in the Act:
Debt Collection Laws Prohibit:
•Collection agency abuse
•Anonymous calls from bill collectors
•Creditors’ calls early morning or late at night
•Calls at work by credit lawyers
•Credit attorney harassment
•Calls to friends, neighbors, or coworkers
•Threats of violence, lawsuit, or arrest
•Threats of wage garnishment
•Use of obscene language
•Accusations of crime
•Collection attorney or agency lies
•Negative credit reporting threats
•Attempts to collect more than you owe
•Debt collectors using false names
•Contact by postcard
•Intimidation, lies, debt harassment
•Other debt collecting abuse
That may work to stop him. If he believes it's an attorney, he might back off. Try it, it can't hurt. The worst that can happen is he will still call...

I have a week receiving calls at work from a man called Richard Clay. I spoke to him today and he insulted me, when I let a co-worker speak to him, he hung up the phone. He stated that I need to pay for a loan I did not apply for. He spoke very rude and even used foul language. I would like to know what can I do about this.
