I do not understand how people with Caller ID can see the name and then answer the call!! I have never heard of that company and have no reason to speak with them scammer or not. If we stop answering these crap calls they might actually stop calling us. Their robo dialer is calling thousands of numbers at the same time. If they get 10 people to answer out of all those calls it keeps them in the scam business. If I want to do a survey, I do it online. I DO NOT give them sensitive info like social security numbers or phone numbers so they can contact me with "follow up questions" If you have a problem with a retailer, call their corporate headquarters if you do not want to handle the situation on a local level. You usually get better results that way instead of going through a 3rd party company that collects info for them.
Called on my cell phone. When I answered it, a computer said, "To reactivate your prepaid card, please press 1." Needless to say, i have no prepaid cards of any sort. An obvious scam.
It was my doctor's office (actually a service he uses) calling to set a follow-up appt. Luckily, they left a message. Otherwise, I would not have known who was calling from a phone number out-of-state.
I got a call there was a man with a strong accent. After trying to understand what he was asking he tried to give me a call back number. He then was confused and told me to go to hell.
CID showed MARKWEST HYDRO - Google search turns up Markwest Hydrocarbon. Not sure why three disparately different calls noted previously unless scammers just displaying this number. Area code 303 is Denver, where this Hydrocarbon is located. At any rate, their business is completely and utterly unrelated business to our business. I suspect they are looking for investors as we have had previous calls from oil related businesses call for the same reason. Asked to speak with owner of the company by name. He got the voicemail. That's his one chance to make a legitimate business proposal. He isn't getting through again should he attempt it.
