The name Veterans Relief doesn't direct to a specific charity, a deceptive tactic aimed at the elderly and uninformed. It's a tactic used by the more predatory fundraisers, scammers, and thieves. They should also disclose a full address that when searched will give the exact name of charity calling. They also didn't disclose that they were a fundraiser by name and calling on behalf of a charity. This article describing consumer rights for veterans applies to all consumers. Not only do I have the same complaints of multiple calls, dead air when I answer 95% of the time but when they do respond they ask for the old owner of my number and when I try to correct them they just hang up. I never even get a chance to argue with them to remove my number. So frustrating.
Getting calls from this number every day for the past two or three weeks and they just hang up once I say my name. They are looking for a Brian. Not me. I called them back today at 303-532-8776 and talked with someone whom sounds like he is working in a noisy call center, he said it was the Veterans' Relief Center. I explained they keep calling the wrong number and requested they take my number off their list, he pretended he couldn't hear me and said, "OK thanks good by" and hung up.
Got the same calls several times, so I repeatedly asked how they got my contact info, and where they were calling from and for a business address. Then the caller hung up. So, I called back, another person andwered, and gave me a different state, and I kept asking detailed questions and he hung up. I called again , and told them they were going to jail. Sounds silly, but every second I keep them on the phone, they are not taking advantage of someone else.
