Same scam call with the same robotic-sounding message: "Legal petition notice concerning a tax fraud against you - before the claim is sent to Federal Claims Court or you get arrested, call 303-558-1510" I immediately figured it was a scam.
Electronic message and middle eastern people calling and telling people they owe money. They will say a federal arrest warrant will be issued and you have to call back. When you call back and call them out on scam, they begin to call you obscenities and get very nasty.
i didn't answer when they called because i didn't recognize the number. left a message that i need to call them for money/taxes i owe before i get arrested. yeah, right. Caller ID says "Brighton, CO"
Caller ID says "Brighton CO." I didn't pick up as I don't know anyone in that area. A message was left by a "woman" claiming she was an officer (I put woman in quotes because the voice sounded like a really bad, robotic telemarketer type thing) and mentioning a suit filed against my name. It mentioned the US Treasury and something about a tax against me. I must contact federal claims court or I will be arrested. What utter BS. I wish I knew who was behind this so that THEY could be arrested. I'm also curious to know how many folks actually fall for BS like this. It's so obvious it's a scam. These people are psychopaths.
