I have been having tons of calls from several different numbers saying they are a car warranty extension, and every time it is from a fake caller ID. One was area code 928, somewhere in Oklahoma, one was the 730, the most recent is 802-763-2141. When I call them back, it says they are all disconnected. I have pressed 2 to have my number removed, and have even pressed 1 to speak to a live rep, as these are prerecorded calls. Every time I ask who the company is or ask to be removed, they hang up, but continue to call several times per day on my CELL PHONE. Last time was 2 days ago, and I pressed 1 to speak to a rep, and it sounds like the same guy every time. This time I acted interested, asked him some questions about the company but he never would tell me anything. Instead, he wanted to aske questions about me and my vehicle. May have been stupid, but I told him a few things, vague things, and a few of them not correct, and he told me I qualify and told me he would transfer me over to the company, and I asked him to please give me a phone number in case I got disconnected, or at least the name of their company, but he never did. He supposedly transferred me, and I heard Enya playing, and after a few minutes, the line disconnected. The very next day they were calling my mom at her house, on her cell phone, and also her place of employment on 3 or 4 different lines. I have talked to several people who have these same people calling them, and they will not stop. I have reported every single number and occurrence to the FCC, but nothing has happened. They keep calling, and I have heard nothing. Our numbers are listed with the Do Not Call Registry and it obviously does no good. What angers me it that the agencies who are supposed to enforce these laws seem to do nothing.
If you guys have any ideas, please, I am all ears.
My truck is 10 years old and I got a phone call saying my warranty was about to run out. My warranty expired long ago! I asked to be removed from the call list and was hung up on.
