Same here, I got a call threatening legal action for bounced checks, when I asked who they bounced with he gave me a liquor store I had never heard of and another store I hadn't heard of. I told him he had the wrong person. They have since continued to call and leave messages. For reasons I will not explain it is very obvious they have the wrong name or person. I suspect this is a scam to try an collect money. Be wary, do not give any personal information, not even an address!
My daughter got a call from this person who said the name of the firm so quickly she couldn't understand it. He said they had written a bad check over a year ago and demanded full payment and would agree to no kind of payment arrangement which seems hoaky for a reputable collector. He left her with a phone number and nothing else... ???
