Called on behalf of HSBC Finance trying to offer me some sort of savings card (save up to 40% at certain retailers etc). I don't bank with HSBC so I don't know how they got my information, but I just said no thank you and hung up. Could be a scam or could just be another annoying telemarketer.
I bought from Brick and took HSBC credit card to get 15months without interests.
HSBC changed their policy and added a year fee for their card of $35cdn.
I refused to pay it 'cause when I called to activate my card nobody from custumer service advised me that as May 2009 there would be a fee.
Since then I have calls from them every day minimum 3 times a day and when I pick up, no body speaks. When I don't pick up, they don't leave a message.
I tried calling back... no one answered...When I finally got someone I asked them if they're really harrassing people for $35...I had to call twice because the 1st person I spoke to, didn't take care of my case as per our discussion...
The calls stopped for three weeks and now I'm getting calls from another phone number that apparently belongs to HSBC...They have called 3 times within 1/2hour and when I picked up they were silent again...What a total harrasment.
All I know is that from now on wherever I buy and i want their no interest plan, I will ask which bank their dealing with...HSBC = Never again!
This number calls me several times daily here in Canada, they never leave messages and will call starting at 7:30 AM right through till 10:30 EST at night!!! Something has to be done to stop these calls!

TO DISRESPECTFUL COMPANY IN WEST VIRGINIA. WHY WOULD I DEAL WITH A PERSON OR COMPANY WHO ARE GUTTLESS TO TALK WHEN YOU PHONE.IF ANY BODY OUT THERE KNOWS THE ANSWER PLEASE POST IT HERE THANKS
I was receiving calls from this number,and no one would talk and it would just hangup, and i called it back and got an automated message, and if you listen to it long enough it asks you to enter your phone number if you dont want to be called. I did this today. It says it can take up to 30 days to remove, and as my number is a cell number i dont want them soliciting it, so we will see what happens.
