I just got this call as well. I tried searching and it was unlisted. So then I blocked my # and called back. It is Capital One. They are using all of these different numbers but never bother to leave a message. I asked why they wouldn't and the snotty woman says "WE DON"T HAVE TO LEAVE YOU OR ANYONE ELSE A MESSAGE!"
They say they are Capitol One but they are NOT. I've been called by the real Capitol One before and they NEVER ask for my card# because the already know it.
Now these people are calling my Mom and she doesn't even have a Capitol One card.
As a rule, you should NEVER give personal info to anyone that calls you. Better yet, if you don't recognize the number, DON'T ANSWER! Make them leave a message.
