Ive got the same calls... multiple times for several days now... Im not sure who it is but I did hear of a scam that people are using semi local numbers and calling without leaving messages and when you call back it charges you phone bill. So def dont call the number back!!! and if you have, make sure to watch your phone bill!!! Its rather annoying getting phone calls like that when Im at work or in class!
I kept getting calls from this number and I finally called the number back and the person who answered the phone definitely did not speak English as her first language as I could barely understand a word she said and she could hardly understand what I was saying at all. She sounded Indian. I am nearly positive this is not really a call from someone in WV, just someone using the area code so it looks like it is a local call. When she picked up the phone she already had my name somehow and she said that I had filled out something online somewhere saying I wanted information on returning to college. I couldn't understand where she was saying I had filled this thing out supposedly, but I am currently in college already and I know I have not filled out anything of the sort so I told her I would like to stop receiving calls. As far as I can tell, it is some sort of scam, but I could barely understand the lady to even begin to know what kind of scam it is.
As a lifelong resident of WV, I can tell you for sure the calls are definitely not coming from Webster Springs. They were calling my home on a daily basis with me answering, followed by hearing a bunch of Abu Dabu's talking in the background and then being hung up on. The last time they called instead of hello, I answered f**k you gaba, gaba, gaba, with a police issued bullhorn at full decible. You could then hear them wrenching in pain while fumbling around trying to disconnect the call. Everyone start answering with the loudest device you can find, and odds are they will not be calling your number again. It's a good feeling picturing them with their little bluetooth headset/mic strapped around their little [***], as you proceed to rupture the as*h*oles eardrums out. :)
