I just received a text message from this number : STAR USA FCU ALERT: Your DEBIT CARD starting with 4414 has been DEACTlVATED. Please call 304-931-4216.
I do not bank with STAR FCU nor does my family.

I also received a text message saying my debit card starting with 4414 has been deactivated. My debit card does not even start with those numbers. It told me to call 304-931-4216. Then name they gave was star usa fcu alert. I do bank with the federal credit union, but there would be no reason for my card to be deactivated and they didn't even have the right numbers. Is this place a scam or what the hell are they doing. I see all these other people getting the same message.
Rec'd text message from this number stating the same as above. Checked all 3 of my debit cards, none of them start with 4414. I also do not bank with Star, however my debit cards do have the Star logo on the back. The phone number 304-553-9936 is registered as a cell phone and is registered to an individual in Charleston, WV. Not sure that they know about this--but that's what I found. 304-931-4216 is registered out of Clarksburg, WV and the carrier is LEVEL 3 Comm-WV, possible non-DA number.
I would ignore if I was anyone getting text messages from these numbers.
