I received this same message from a craigslist user with the WV #. I didn't trust the posting anyway; too many errors in the text, as well as wanting to add aditional money for shipping. I just wish there were other places to report such happenings.
Got the same thing except it was 2800. Got the check in the mail went to bank it goes through but later pops up as fraud. Didn't send the money to the kaitlin person because I thought it may be fraud but on the same hand thought maybe not. If you would spend it or send the check to the lady the bank will hold you responsible for that money. So be careful everyone.
OMG!! I wish I would have googled this before. I got the same email from this person when I posted my wedding dress for sale on craigslist. I am too honest I guess and never saw this coming. I deposited the check into my account and paid some bills just to have my account closed two days later because the check was fake!!! UGH! now I am $1000.00 overdrawn in my account and my account is closed. But I am responsible. Go figure. Beware ladies.
You need to watch out if you give your address & get a check in the mail (& most likely they will send one). Once you cash the check it takes several days before your bank finds out but it is fake & then your bank will charge you for the amount just as if you had just bounced a check. I have had this happen to a family member (plus it just happened to one of the girls on the show Teen Mom, only with her car). I got this same email from this guy just now trying to "buy" my wedding dress. Be careful guys!!!
