Just received a recorded call from 305-224-1669 Homestead FL; A message left on answering machine claiming to be from the Treasury Dept. and threatening prosecution if we failed to call back; claimed they had made previous attempts and this is the final call.
2 calls in the last week. First caller had accent and message has been deleted. That one called from a different number. Second one called 1/18 from the Homestead, FL number above. Threatened legal action from the U.S. Treasury. This second call said it was final call & was second attempt to contact. Both messages left a number for a return call. The number left by the second caller was the above number. The first caller left message with a number as well, but message has been inadvertently deleted.
Just received a recorded call from this number claiming to be from the Treasury Dept. and threatening prosecution if we failed to call back; claimed they had made previous attempts; We know it is a scam as the Treasury Dept. does not contact by phone, only by mail.
