This company has called previously and left messages stating it's in regards to our credit card. Well, finally one day I was home to answer the phone and pressed 9 to speak to a representative. I told the rep not to contact us anymore. The rep stated it was not a telemarketing company but a legit company calling about "our" credit card. First of all, if you're so legit, why are you hiding the name of the company on the caller id? Secondly, we don't have credit cards.....
Read posts on other sites regarding these callers. These are individuals who are attempting to get unsuspecting people to give them their credit card information, under the guise that they will "service" the credit card. Anyone who has a credit card with a legitimate credit card company does not require any additional "service." According to the posts I read, these individuals obtain the credit card information and drain the card of all available credit. Do not give any credit card information to anyone who calls over the phone. If you are concerned about your credit card, call the number on the back of the card and speak to a legitimate representative.
I have been getting these calls every 2 days - I haven't answered and they never leave a message. Will add to my blocked numbers - thanks for the info from others.
The callers are the drug-addicted "card services" scammers, who call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies, in an attempt to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers, so they can rip us off. People that have given their card number to these junkies have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these lowlifes, and warn others, before they are cheated! More can be learned, concerning these degenerates, whose main targets are the low income and the elderly, by visiting 800notes 305-368-8260 through 8267.
The card service scammers WILL "service" our credit cards, BUT, when they finish "servicing" them, they will have no available credit remaining! They are a particularly disgusting group of scammers, as they pick on the elderly. If you are elderly, or have an elderly friend or relative, caution must be advised to not speak with ANYONE who claims to have the ability to lower the interest rates on credit cards---TOTALLY a scam to obtain folks credit card numbers for illegitimate purposes!
