Kept calling my 15 year old son stating he was illegally stealing other people's identity. The person on the line said he was a Federal Law enforcement agency. My son asked what Chapter, Title and Section he was being charged with. The person then hung up. Two days later he received another call with the same information. Again my son asked for the chapter, section, and title he was being charged with and again the person hung up. This time, however, my son called back. The same guy answered the phone, my son identified himself with his first name, and the guy then called my son a dirty Mother Fncker and hung up.
SCAM. Said they were calling from "Federal Police" and that there was an arrest warrant for me (something to do with education debt). The First caller passed me on to the second who had a foreign accent and said his name was Steven Morris. Went through a list of statutes I had allegedly fallen foul of. When I asked for his name again and his Federal ID number, he said ' my ID is f--- you motherf---er'. If you're not sure, ask for their ID number!
Just got a eastern Indian sounding voice claiming to be with US Federal Treasury Loan enforcement. For my student loan - there is no such thing
But you can call Officer James Watson @ 305-396-3443 and ask him any question you wish!
I work in fraud and did not even bother calling him back but some may - he needs to be stopped so that those without internet access or maybe do owe some funds to the Fed will not be scammed. Chances are anyone posting or looking up the number as we have will not be fooled.
