this guy is trying to scam me from my go fund me post saying he wants to send me a check to be deposited into my bank account only so it can have a 24hr clearance he claimed to be a minister at a church and his secretary would send me the check for 250.00 he only wanted to txt me after I emailed him , he txted me from a 1-912-385-4265 phone number
Got a text from Mr. Amor this morning. I am a first responder, and one county I work for uses text message paging for people who want it, and somehow he got that number. So I called the county sheriff dept and they don't have anybody by that name, and that number that pages us is a computer made message for type and call and location made possible by dispatchers. Nice try for him. That's quite the illegal move on his part.
I got texed message fm this sgt.robert amor.... and wanted to buy my jeep. He said to consider it sold. He said he was in a remote area and pay through paypal. Thank God I checked out his name and got to this site. What a scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....
Got the same message about my jet ski advertised on CL. First contact was by text from a gmail account with request to respond to a second email address that ended up going to a third gmail address. Very fishy. Searched the name Robert Amor and found this board. Glad I did some investigating before proceeding.
Got the same type of emails today in regards to a Corvette I was selling on craigslist. I immediately looked up his email address which was originally sent to my spam inbox (Clue #1) Then he started telling me that he only wanted to do his dealings on Paypal. I cant believe they cant catch this guy or do something about this. I feel bad for all of the people that this guy has scammed.... Hopefully they are as smart as we are and check this out.
