I have received several messages from this phone number. I finally answered it today and it is an Asian man stating that he is Officer Gary Potts and that we apparently took out a payday advance loan and never paid it back and now they are sending an officer over to our home to make an arrest and we will then have to post bail and he went on and on.....As we were exchanging heated words I verified that there has never been any advances paid to us in our account and he could not verify the amount or the name of the pay day company and then said that we could resolve it by paying $798.00. I asked him what police department he worked at and asked for a badge number and he could not provide it to me. He kept telling me that be prepared to have an officer at our door in the morning. I told him to bring it on.......... He finally hung up and I contacted my local government office and they told me it is a phising scam. In order for them to do any legal action they would need to be registered with the Dpt of Commerence of Corporations and then be registered with the department of financial institutions. I contacted MR. GARY POTTS back and told him to place me on the DO NOT CALL LIST and he said that he will see us tomorrow and hung up on me.
someone who could barely speak english told me they worked for the feds and that i was going to be arrested tomorrow morning because i didn't pay back a payday loan and that i needed to pay 791.42 immediately..when i said i couldn't possibly come up with that money, they said that they would take 200.00 with my credit card info...i don't have 200.00 so they said that they will see me in jail! i was at my job..needless to say i almost had a heart attack when she hung up without giving me a chance to make arrangements or anything..just that i would be put in jail tomorrow and to get my things in order!
I just had a call like that as well. it gotten real bad to the point he was calling me names and threaten to kill me! but its all good cause i know people in high places and once i find out who these people are, they will get dealt with in a legal manner of course.
we just got a call like that 1hr. ago, saying do not disregard this messag you need to have your attny. call us back to make arrangements or some kind a wrath will be set upon us, or something, can't understand the guy indian or something, not english
My son received a call today from this number and the man told him the cops were going to his job to arrest him for a pay loan advance. My son called me and I called the man back and he stated he worked with a law firm and the attorney's name was Mark Jackson. I also gave him a piece of my mind and told him to bring it on to go right ahead and go to my son's job and arrest him. Since when does anyone get arrest for a loan that doesn't exist even if one did; what did he think that it would be easy to get $7000 from someone.
