this # keeps calling , first time I picked up it was a recording telling me I had two choices, 1 a person that would lower % on credit card balance 2 , not sure now.....I did not bite.....however, after I hung up I did something I would never do...yes , I called them back!
This time a real person picked up! ID himself as Micheal, and asked if I just received a call from (what ever they were using at the time,) Customer Service rep. let him talk a moment and than asked him 'and what company did you say you are with', Micheal, again gave me a random name for a company and while he was talking I again asked him " name of the company or credit card company they were with' ...
He became very annoyed , and hung up .....the thing is , I talked to a real person!
Talked this over and wanted to do something about it, so others will not foolishly give out their information to these people....however, let it go until today.....received several other calls....our phone ups most,if not all our calls up....I just wanted to play with the last one....today! picked up the phone (miss understood the code as a 360) and a woman's voice recorded started with about the #1, 2 , etc....and lowering your interest rates...etc.
So, after reading several of these complaints on different sites....I shall do the best and report it to the FCC.....
Several complainers have suggested we all do that, and they are SO RIGHT!
www.fcc.gov or http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints...or just , like I will do
type in fcc and see what you come up with!
Try them ALL .... it may be that these #%&*^ are the ones running these pages and use them to find the loopholes ..?????
I shall , just let the phone answer it self from now on!!!!!!
Florida on caller ID @3:09Pm. Tried to call # @ 6 PM
called the # back and got a recording that it had been disconnected! Anyone know another number for these hacks. I would love to give them a dose of their own medicine.
Received call today about 20 minutes ago. Did not answer in time. When I attempted to call back said the number was disconnected and no longer in service. Thursday October third..
Received a call from this number this afternoon. The recorded prompt told me that "We have tried to reach you numerous times regarding your account..." so I pressed 1 to speak to someone, knowing I had no such account. When I got a human, I told him he should be ashamed of himself for preying on people in light of the fear everyone is currently living under these days due to the economic crisis. (I did have some other choice words for him as well.) He then called back, TWICE, using a different number (407) 411-0000. The first time I answered he just laughed at me and I hung up. The second time I didn't answer. I called the FCC to file a complaint and also requested assistance from my state senator on this matter. I am on the DO NOT CALL Registry...a lot of good it does. I just fear for those who aren't aware this is a scam, especially the elderly.
Got a call about 4pm saying "we have been trying to reach you to see if you want to lower your interest rate. Press 1 if you do" I figured it was a scam but wanted to here what they would say. After pressing 1 a funeral home answered and some business that deals with children. Did report the # to donotcall.gov
