Received call on my cell phone number 11AM (Central Time). I did not answer. When I called the number back received a message that the number dialed is not a working number.
Received a call Today. That my web page was one selected among many other web pages. That since I was a hispanic owner and that I had been selected by Real Latin Pages... To be placed on top ranked search engines like google, yahoo and so forth. I requested the information be emailed to me. So I could review it and then make a decision about conducted business with such Real Latin Pages... I requested that the email contain a secure link to go forth with any transaction. And the caller said that this was a one time deal only conducted by phone. I requested the full name of the company to vertify thru the BBB. The caller didn't know what I was talking about. So I hung up... Viewers please be careful in providing personal information over the phone, credit card numbers and so forth... I am a business ower and all my transactions are conducted thru my webpages. Thru paypal. It a client doesn't understand how to open an account thru my webpages I then suggest I invoice them thru paypal so we can conduct an order. I personal have a credit card merchant account which also allows me to conduct via phone orders Going thru a third party recording when taking credit cards over the phone. I opt for invoice thru paypal. I respect clients personal information of not disclosing such information over the phone. WE MUST BE CAREFUL WITH INTERNET or PHONE CALL SCAMS... I feel paypal has the advantage that we can dispute any charges, orders not delivered, etc.,.
