I've gotten the same call twice, both times as a recorded message on my voice mail. Here's the deal: the IRS doesn't make phone calls; they send registered letters. You don't put your phone number on your tax filing. You only put your address.
The automated message left says, "this is the irs. your tax filings are wrong and the cops will get you within 24 hours..." Super fake. First off... "The cops will get you"? That's not how that works...
Automated call saying that you will be arrested if you don't call them back to discuss the matter further. They've called twice and left a voicemail. Both times, the first part of the recording was cut off.
