Called twice, no message left either time

Same as everyone else...idiots call DAILY,but leave no message. I just don't answer.
Try blasting music, the TV,or religious sermons  in their ears when they call...maybe they'll stop annoying people! No sense in YOU getting stressed over people who are dishonest or foolish. Then,go on with your day:-)

this number calls several times a day and when you answer they hang up and when you call back it redirects to an unknown voicemail

Caller ID says Marathon Fl 305-509-6840, I answered the phone, but said nothing waiting for the person calling to say something first, they hung up.
