"I am requesting that you stop calling me." The desperation in his voice was delicious. Still claims to be an attorneys office. Has yet to take action against my primary or secondary or multiple others so I'm willing to bet that I am dealing with a scammer at wits end. If you receive an email claiming you owe ACL payday loans (or any other) that has this phone number at the bottom, simply report it and move on. Do not call this guy unless you wish to make him regret his choice of profession. Want to really tick him off? Introduce yourself as Mr. Black.

While I appreciate that no one likes a troll, especially those who have been trolled, why is it that there is a matter of maturity in question here? I have the time of day to make someone who makes their living on the suffering of others by misleading them and taking them for their cash just a little less likely to answer a phone call. I don't see a problem with that. Is there a moral question here? Is it not worth letting people know that if they harass a scammer that they are technically performing a public service? If people would be proactive about these situations scammers would be a lot less likely to call. Daily I see posts where people receive harassing emails, phone calls, and texts. We ignore them. We block them. We choose to allow these scum to keep reaching out to new victims. But I suppose that the High and Mighty attitude I've seen from other registered users of this site are partially to blame. "You're not going to get your money back, maybe you'll learn from this." Really? Thats an acceptable post to make? Granted the OP will probably never see it as many folk choose to post and move on. So I enjoy making some jack@$$ with a Miami area code suffer for having sent an email to anyone that contains very personal and sensitive information. I post about it so that other people can see how much of a scam this is. I post about it so that if anyone else receives this email, they can download a handy app like Sideline and troll the people that attempted to up-end their lives.

"Just report the number." That would be useful if these scammers were using stable IPs, or landlines, or even cell phones that are connected to real networks. (This one in particular may actually be on a network, the same guy answers every time.) Most of them don't. The reality is that they too are using an app like Sideline or Google Voice (can't tell you how many IRS and Grant scams ring to Gvoice mailboxes). Hell, some of them use Textnow and Nextplus.

If you don't like my feedback on these scum bags, flag me for Admin removal, and if you do I hope that the admin opens a line of dialogue with me. I would love to get some other insight on this.

But you guys are right, I'm just being as mature as I can be about it.

Part of the problem with you "solution" is that oftentimes the scammers are spoofing the number they're calling from. Which means if you repeatedly call that number, you're harrassing an innocent person.
As to the maturity of your actions, you sound like a little kid with your "They did it to me so I'm gonna do it back to them" atitude. Taking the high road and simply not acknowledging the call, whether by answering or calling them back, is proactive. Saying "Neener, neener, I'm gonna get you back" isn't. Remember the saying "Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you"?
