so these are collections agencies about hopital bills? you know if they harrass you, you have every right to get the attorney general invovled. i had this happen to me about 5 years ago, and after the hospital received the letter from the attorny general, they quit harrassing me and let me pay my balance in time how i wanted ot pay it. as long as you are paying something a month towards your balance, they can't say anything UNLESS you signed a contract before services were started.
Advanta bill collectors are slime. Never be nice to them or they'll put it on their list that you're easy or a pushover and then they will call you more often. Even if you arrange a payment with them, be as much of an [***] as you can so you get marked as "difficult."
The same...how many Bert's do you know in India.(:-) Because Advanta Bank won't work or negotiate they're the last to get paid and never take their call.
The call came at 8:05 am and a computerized voice put me on hold when I answered. It kept me on hold for 5 minutes, telling me that it understood my time was valuable. I eventually hung up.
They now have cell phones that block selected calls. Your phone does not ring and you only know that they called after the number silently appears on your call log.
