I just got a call from 305-587-2091. They said that they were calling to lower my interest rate and that they were calling from cardmember services. I asked the guy if he was calling from my visa card services, how come he didnt know what my current interest rate was and he hung up. I called back and got the message that this number is an unattended mailbox and it could not recive any incoming calls>>>SCAMS..
Received a call from telephone # 305-587-2091 which shows as "Lower Interest" on caller ID. Picked up the phone before I realized it was one of those kind of calls.
Recorded message about lowering interest rate on credit cards. This is the 2nd call I received within a five day period from this company.
I have been on the nat'l "Do Not Call" list for many years and updated it within past six months. Obviously, it's not doing any good as I've received at least five calls from these kinds of businesses just within the past week.
Reported the # to the nat'l "Do Not Call" via a complaint and encourage everyone else to do the same when they get these types of calls.
Okay everyone please read this and do it. First you need to find a whistle anykind will do. Next time they call hit "1" or what ever the automated machine says to talk to a representative, when they pick up the phone to talk to you blow into the whistle as loud as you can so it will burst the ear drum of the telemarketer.
got this call.. same as others, 'Lower Interest" on caller ID. Nothing there, no recording. Filed a complaint. Then called the number back. I got a recording (but no company name) asking me if I wanted to be removed from thier calling list. Well, sure. I pressed '1'.. then it asked for my number. I didn't insert it. What came to mind was this could be a collecting working numbers to sell to someone else.But it is a working number to trace for the complaint I filed....if they do anything about it.
They called me yesterday. I wasn't home, but my voice mail showed a message. It was just dead air, no message, which is fine with me. The ID just showed Lower Interest. At this point, I don't think I'll even bother to once again complain to the DNC. It doesn't seem to do any good, so I'll just not anwer the phone. Thank goodness for Caller ID. I can't block these calls as I have vonage.
