It would be wise to block, or not answer ALL calls from the 305 area code-- the code of scammers!

A spanish speaking woman has been calling my mother-in-law from this number saying that it is the collections department (didn't mention a company) and said that because she has not come to an agreement to a so-called lawyer about a debt of which she had never heard of until them, someone from the Department of Justice will stop by her house and she will need a lawyer. DOJ has too many things to do home visits. TOTALLY A SCAM!!

I am an attorney. A client, an elderly man, is getting threatening calls that he will be sued by a collection agency from this telephone number 305-600-3355.  The caller Pablo Mendez and Cynthia Santos tell him that he can settle the claim of $3,500 or $399.  These individuals direct him to turn over payment in the form of a money order or cash to a person who will go to his home to collect the money. This appears to be a fraud that is being perpetrated on Angel Querubin.

Its a Extortion Scam Operation, and yes, its fraud. You and your client may wish to file file reports with the authority's on this as well.  I would also recommend that your client look into getting a call blocking device or phone. There are lots on the market but the devices hold more numbers and some whole area codes and run around 60.00.  The extortion scammers are relentless and will continue to call, probably from several numbers.

For Extortion Scam Operations,  File reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,CFB,FTC & FCC..
